Air Condition Problems
Hi all!
I have a F250 2008 Diesel... some while ago the AC started to fail when I stop on traffic or when its hot outside (just when you need it the most haha), but when I am on the highway runs with no problem or on the winter that is not hot here in Lima Peru. When its hot and on traffic looks like the compressor suffers or something and gets blocked because the Belt screeches (makes a sound) and then works for a little bit and then gets hot and screeches again, so I always shut it down. An AC mechanic just took a look and says the condenser gets too hot and that gets the pressure too high, and the compressor fails to work good. He saw the engine fan and looked that it was not spinning to fast but the engine runs on a good temperature, so maybe the problem is not that...
I have seen some forums talk about the compressor clutch, it doesn't seem like that would be the problem because the system does gets cold, but the pressure on the system get too high and seems to be overheating. I am gonna check on that also but any one know how fast should the fan spin when you are not accelerating? and any other issue that could be happening on the AC system?
Thanks!!!
