That one is just a picture I found of what I want to end up with but without the cheesy wheel covers.

Wouldn't it have been easier to find a passenger van with a good body and just swap the body over to your frame? If you like how your van drives, then you'd retain that with the frame/running gear swap and get the OEM passenger setup without too many hassles.

Plus you have to deal with all the legal crap too when doing the body swap. You are basically changing the VIN #. So you no longer would have matching #'s on the body and frame. Which could also turn into a crap show if you ever wanted to sell it. So doing it legally usually involves a bunch of paper work, inspections , etc. The exact process depends on the laws in your local area.

This, plus it’s now a 21 year old used van. No one really cares except me, because I grew up with the truck almost my whole life. My parents and I went to Ford and they let me pick it out. That was a long time ago and now they are moving and are giving it to me. So it’s a project. I enjoy the cutting, and repairing. I don’t mind. To me it’s satisfying to achieve that. A body swap is just that, plus I have a couple other projects to get out of the way before I can jump on this van in ernest. So if I did get another van to swap the body from it would be just one more vehicle to deal with.
