I have a 92 Ford Ranger 3.0L 5spd I was wondering if my 5spd will bolt up to a 88 Ford Ranger 2.9L

I have wondered the same thing, more or less. I have a 88 ranger xlt 2.9 A4LD auto trans and have thought about putting in a manual. I know the 3.0 is a completely different motor. Not sure if the bell housings are the same.

2.8L, 2.9L and 4.0L share the same bolt pattern, but the 3.0L is different, so no 3.0L trans will not bolt up to a 2.9L.
