Power Steering Pump Replacement Help
94 F-350
I'm deep in this change and ran into one of many problems. I got a little baggie with a rubber o-ring and a teflon seal in it. It says on the instructions "A new teflon seal for the pressure hose is included with this replacemennt power steering unit. To assist installation soften seal in warm water expand over a tapered punch then transfer to hose fitting." My question is why is there an o-ring, where does it go and which side does the teflon seal go on? The pressure hose end that goes into the pump has a teflon seal on it already. It's a new hose. The old hose didn't have an o-ring at the gearbox. One other thing, how the hell does that pulley come off? I ended up cracking this one. Off to the parts store again tomorrow. I need some help here.
