Hi,, i'm having an overheating problem with my 2005 f250 superduty. Had my radiator checked, new thermostat, new water pump and new belt. As for the fan clutch a mechanic “ checked this while of the engine, by turning the bolt on the clutch” and told me the fan clutch was ok.
Now i placed the fan back on and realized the fan is really stiff to turn by hand and after turning a bit, it starts spinning more and more freely until its just completely freespinning. Is this normal or should i replace the fan clutch?
Thanks for all advice.
Also, make sure the fan shroud is there and secured correctly. The shroud plays a major difference in cooling efficiency and a vehicle can overheat if the shroud is missing or was removed.

THAT ALSO... its a designed system.. not just a few parts... and shroud gaskets... are they there.. and in good condition
Shroud is there completely and secured correctly. This truck came from Miami and is now in Curacao (Caribbean.) I just wanted to be as sure as possible before i order another part. Importing parts from the US is expensive. The dealer over here will not sell you parts or work on your truck if it is not a truck sold by them. We only have one Ford dealer on the island.
I'll start by ordering a new fan-clutch and see if that helps. Thanks again guys.
