Rancho RS9000XL's ordered
Lesson learned...I had read the threads about people replacing shocks on relatively low mileage trucks, but I questioned that a bit as I've never really had problems on my 2001. Turns out...you need to check the obvious sometimes. Anyway, I've got new Rancho RS 9000 XLs on order.
Leaking drivers side front shock
Passenger side shock
The shake is really small and wouldn't be noticeable by most, but I have tried to chase it down. I thought at first that maybe it was the steering stabilizer so I put a new Bilstein 5100 on in July...no difference. Then in August, I took it into the shop, explained the shake I was feeling, and had the tires rotated and balanced. No difference again. You would have thought the shop would have noticed the blown shock....but then again...I didn't notice either.
