2005 F250 XLT Build Thread
My previous truck was a 2011 F150 Platinum EcoBoost. When the EcoBoost was announced and revealed, it was the engine I wanted over anything. Well in 2014 I bought my 2011 and I all ever had was problems. I drove it maybe 10,000kms a year and it seemed that there was always another problem whenever a jumped in it. During my last 2 years of ownership I put in 2 timing chains (20,000km in between), multiple brake parts (electric pump, booster, master cylinder) and it was at the dealer for months. I had barely any braking power and they couldn't figure it out. I ended up getting rid of it and I needed to find a truck that would last.
Then comes my 2005 F250. I drove down an hour to look at it and as soon as I saw it I knew that there was a good chance I had to have it. It's a pretty bare model in comparison to my Platinum, but that's what I wanted. Vinyl floor, 4x4 on the floor, etc. The engine bay was super clean, all the head studs are still in mint condition and there is no engine tick!!! I don't have too many plans for it except for some mods to bring it into 2018. So far I've put a backrack on it, dash camera, mud flaps (from my F150) and gave her a proper clean. Future mods are an android head unit, wheels, 12v outlet in bed, rear view camera, tow mirrors and 2011+ style tail lights.
Anyways, enough of my blabbering, onto some pictures!
