Even though my 97 F250 diesel only has 72,000 miles, not sure I want to wait another 2 years. So either I buy a 2004 now, or wait till Jan and use a D plan pin from my brother for a 2005. Hopefully the savings there would offset if I only kept that truck 2 -3 years.
Shoot, perhaps I better go take a drive in my Infiniti FX 35 and quit thinking trucks. LOL Of course the brick and black leather package in that only makes me think harder about the Kings Ranch. Which certainly appears to be about the best leather out there in ANY vehicle. YMMV

Well, if thats the case, then you better decide if you like the current setup, or whats coming on the 05's, cause there are some changes, mostly with the front suspension.

I definitely like the payload increase of 500/1000 lbs for the f250/350. Should make hauling my Lance pop out camper around easier. And after owning 8 Ford trucks, beginning with a 17 year old red 55 Ford F 100 which looks like the one on FTE. : ) , I trust Ford. And I assume if that if they went to coil springs it should be an improvement. Like computers and TV's, if you wait till that next hot model there will always be something behind it. Of course unlike puters and tv's,the price does not go down on trucks.
peace and bbq'd pulled pork this weekend in gray Socal

Go Lakers!
I need a dump truck for next spring. I think a 2005 F450 or F550 will be the next one for the fleet. Power Stroke 6 speed will do just fine. And the same color as my 2000 F350. Oh what sweet dreams.
What are your thoughts on the 2005 Superduty front suspension? I was hoping they would stick to leaf springs, but thats just me! What do you guys think...?
I am am one who likes the front leaf set up, but I hang a snow plow off the front for half the year.
If I didn't have that, then it wouldn't bother me, coils will ride better, and offer better articulation.
And looking at the pics of the set up, I wouldn't think it will be to bad to lift, considering it's still a straight axle.

Personally I don't think that new mono suspension is going to work for folks that do snow plowing. Gee I remember when I plow with a F150 7 1/2 ft fisher plow the coils were always go every other year. I don't know but I rather have springs. Come on it is a truck not a car. Smooth ride is nice but after all it is a truck and should remain that way.
