My company (family owned) has a small fleet of 3 older Ford pickup trucks, a 1987 F-150, a 1988 F-250 and a 1990 F-350. The Wiper Switch has gone out on all 3 relatively quickly. I found a few of part SW2259 a few months back and bought all the person had and haven't been able to find anymore. Don't want used. Obviously the parts would be old since they were discontinued a while ago, but just would prefer that weren't being used in a truck so that they aren't failing once put in one of our trucks. The OEM Ford part is outrageously expensive. I paid $45.00 each for the Motorcraft ones and the quote I'm getting for the Ford part is $225 each. Does anyone have or know where I can find the Motorcraft Windshield Wiper Switch, part # SW-2259? looking to buy 2 to 3 more. Much appreciated!
From what I see the SW-2259 is not the switch but the Intermittent Wiper Governor. I have had my ‘87 Bronco for 22 years and never had to replace it. I have replaced several wiper motors but never the module. Are you sure that is what has failed in all 3 trucks?
Our mechanic said it was that part that had to be replaced. We had replaced that part on 2 of our trucks at this point and the problem has been corrected so I believe he was right. We just can't seem to be able to find this part anywhere.

Motorcraft SW-2259 is a governor, I didn't find the Ford part # right off, and it does not seem to be available new.
Yes it is a governor, The name listed with the part though is "Windshield Wiper Switch" which is why I listed it that way. The ford part number is E9TZ-17C476-A. They are asking for $225.00 per part for the ford part number. That is just too expensive, especially after only having to spend $45 per on the Motorcraft part when I was able to find a couple. The image below is of the part I'm looking for, SW-2259.
