87-91 tailgate value?

Hey guys, just picked up a bunch of parts tonight and there was a 87-91 gate in the mix. It is the one with FORD stamped in it.
Really nice, no rust at all, not even a hintof brown. Not bent. A couple small dings in the face. What do you think it is worth to resell?

Just picked up an excellent condition tailgate drilled for the aluminum trim panel on CL for $125.00 and felt lucky to find it.

It had no trim panel by the way, I have one.

If Brad's tailgate is straight/unbent on the bedside and top edge it's worth at least $150.00.

Maybe if 1) you can find a tailgate at the junkyard and 2) if you live in an area that doesn’t have issues with rust.

I have bought 3 from pull n save over the years, all in excellent shape. Bought a whole bed & tailgate a couple years ago for 100$. Rust isn't an issue here, lots of good condition obs trucks.

I found a mint one for $100 with the aluminum reflector for my 87' at the local scrap yard. Pretty tough to come across though around here. Most of the people that run the yards around here are Ford guys... Usually they are picked clean or reserved... There was 4-5 two tone Brown ext cabs like mine two bull-nose style with the reversed paint scheme... Couldn't even take a cash offer on a brown passenger side seat-belt connector...

If I find a truck that still has a tailgate it is smashed up. Lots of rust issues here in the mid-Atlantic.

The tailgate is pretty much perfect. And I Know guys are looking for the stamped FORD in the gate, you can not get them from the aftermarket. OEM ford only
I personally dont care for them. I like the 92-96 XL gates and the 97 gate. But the XL gates are almost always beat to death and or rotten. And the 97 XLT gates are only a one year and tough to find

Maybe If you look at my location you would see I dont live the in the land of good and plenty.
We live in the rust belt where a 5 year old truck has rust on it already and all you would find at a pick n pull is a 30 year old piece of scrap

I'd gladly give you $200 for that tailgate here in Saskatchewan. Problem is you could not even ship it to me for that kind of money.

Parts pricing becomes a location thing.

Left column is cars middle is truck and right is core charge. So, 95 dollars at my local place but it has a 10 dollar core charge too so 105 plus tax. And that's not guaranteed to be rust free, but then again it is a you pull. So if it's not you just dont buy it.

Yeah, shipping would be stupid on something that big/heavy. Then not sure how the whole customs thing would work
