Using line lock as E-brake

I bought a line lock and plan on using it as a temporary emergency brake to give me enough time to get out and set the blocks. I'm not interested in doing burn-outs on my 4x4 so I was wondering if I should put it on the front or rear brake lines or just buy another so I could use both for redundancy. Any thoughts on this?

Why not just fix the the E brake? If you have safety inspections, line locks aren't legal in any state.
The way your planning on using it, I'd put it on the rears to lock up the driven wheels.

Actually, I'd put it on the fronts. . but I'd also be doing lots of burnouts.

We used line locks on our VWs back in the day. One thing I can tell you is they have a tendency to bleed out after repeated use, so temporary is the key word.

That is how I would do it, fix the Ebrakes!
1 leaky wheel cly and no more line lock.

BTW there is something called Micro Lock that is used on trucks as a parking brake but like the line lock a leaky wheel cly and they no longer work.

Rears provide more stopping power.

Slight correction in case anyone searches on that - it is actually called a Mico Brake Lock. You might be able to see the switch plate in this picture.

And in this picture is the lock itself with the hard line coming from the master cylinder to it. You can see it just behind and below the booster. In this case it locks up ALL of the brakes (single pot master cylinder). Useful when winching things. Better than the E-brake alone since it only locks up the back brakes. And the truck is not left unattended....in this case.
