Hey, guys Ive been driving the **** out if my 64 f100 and Ive started college..well the 66 seat thats in it..the foam is quiting me..I'm leaning toward the drivers door. There's 63 f800 firetruck custom cab that has a practically mint original seat. I smacked the seat cushion to see if the foam would crumble and fall..nothing fell from the bottom so I think Im safe as far as dry rot. My question is not only will the 66 seat back with the round top swap to the 63 bottom cushion but also what is the difference in custom cab foam height in those years? Since I intend to put a 90s f150 bucket seat in any money on a quick fix needs to be worth it.

Seat change occurred in '64, mainly in the top. Bottom is the same. A mint original'63 custom cab seat would be very valuable to '63 owners intact.

 

awesome info tripleframe. I figured it would interchange but i wasnt sure. Well the driverside has two trips torn or pulled out on the bottom cushion, but its really pretty small and its not where your sliding in and out. l'll probably buy the whole seat and put the 63 back on my 66 bottom and store it. But the seat cover s faded...I'll rub it down with some vinyl and rubber conditioner..its woven plastic but its all I can think of to breath life back into it. Definitely would be..if they could track down a NOS bottom cover and bring the tops color back a 63 owner would have it made.
