Seat Belts

I have a 1968 F100 and I was wondering were these manufactured with seat belts.

I think that's weird because when I doubled look in the cab this evening I did. It see any place for the seat belts to go. I have a feeling my truck was not made with seat belts.

I garantee that if you look behind your seat and pull back the carpet, or rubber mat depending on if you have a ranger or custom package, next to the gas tank you will see threaded holes in the floor board in which the seat belts should bolt to the floor, about 6-10 inches apart from the very center of the gas tank.............
If Im not mistaken, All ford vehicles came with seat belts as required by federal law in 1968. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

You are correct.

I have two 68s. A 2WD and a 4WD and both have the lap seat belts in the same location as described.

They both also have threaded holes about mid way up in both rear corners of the cab. Shoulder belt mounting point maybe?

Yo are correct D&D. You can buy shoulder strap seatbelts. I plan on getting a set for mine after I do all my other work. I want to try to keep my face from slamming into steering wheel if I wreck.

Have you tried looking up at the floor from underneath the cab? It is possible that some one may have covered the holes up at some time. There should be nuts attached to the floor on the under side in the locations that were previously described.

I look under the cab and there only the two holes for the seat. When I look up the vin online it says that it is 68. So it has kind of baffled me.
