While looking for info on lift pumps, I see much more posts and reviews on FASS and Airdogs. Personally I like AFE's 780 line but find almost nothing on reviews. Anyone know if there is a reason for that?

I had the AFE on my truck for 2k miles and it took a crap. When it did, it was pouring diesel out both the water and air seperator. My family and I were on our way to my in-laws to pick up my 5th wheel when it happened. Luckily it didn't happen while I was towing. Both me and my brother-in-law took it off and we were able to go on our trip the next day.
Also I won't buy another AFE product. Their tech line and customer service were horrible. Their techs were ***** who knew nothing about the 2017+ Superdutys and even their own product, and their customer service lost the pump I returned so it took almost 2 months to get my refund. Also I found it very frustrating they don't return emails or phone calls.
I'm waiting for FASS to come out with a 2017+ specific pump...
Thanks Smitty..You may have saved me from a similar fait.
No prob... I contacted Fass yesterday and this is what they said...
Hello Craig-
We are close to releasing a kit for the 2017 and up Fords. They should be available by the first of the year.
Thank you,

Why do you guys want a lift pump on a Ford 6.7L? It already has one.
My truck is tuned/deleted and I noticed running the higher hp tunes, it seems to hesitate until it gets more fuel. When the AFE "did" work, I noticed a significant improvement in lag.
I also like having the additional filtration and air separator.
And if it'll prolong my stock fuel pump, then that's an added bonus as well...
Alright, thanks for the explanation. It makes sense on a tuned truck. On a stock truck, I would say performance and filtering is adequate for the service life of the engine. The 2017 trucks no longer have a combined pump / filter / separator (DFCM) like the 2011-216 did. The electric pump is inside the fuel tank and the filter / separator is further up the frame rail.

While this is true. I have also seen a number of failures with the in tank pump that starved the cp4. While it may be speculation, the lack of fuel(lubrication) caused the bearings to deteriorate over time causing premature failure.
@C_Smitty
Make sure you stick around for awhile. Won't be long I want information on the "other" enhancements to your truck and the route you took.
Ha, no problem... I've done everything from tuning, leveling, dual on board air compressors, wheels/tires, and tomorrow mornings upgrade (Titan 55 gal tank).
But the best bang for your buck is to get the truck re-geared. 4.10's if your tires are 33-35 inches and 4.30's if you're doing 37's or bigger. If I could only upgrade one thing on the truck, it'd be the gearing...
