starting!!

I have a 1988 F-250 extened cab, long bed, lariat, XLT that has 96,739 miles on it. My problem is that it when i try to start it up after its been running a little bit it WONT!! It just keeps turning over it wont start up though. If you let it sit there a couple of minutes with the ignition on, it will usually start up. Im wondering if it could be the fuel pump, but see as long as it you dont turn it off, it runs like brand new!! Or if it dies it doesnt wanna start up right away. Could my injectors be clogged? I would think that it could be there 2 things but if it runs right when its running... i dont understand!!! If this has happend to you, or you know whats wrong please help me out!!

thanks in advance

Try replacing the ignition module. They normally crap out completely when they go, but I have seen some of them work until they get hot.

1988 f250 7.3 diesel. Started with neutral switch not working.. replaced it, the ignition switch and the column switch. lights up fine, but the horn doesn't work. horn switch is hot.. bought a horn relay but can't find it's location.. I wonder if there's and adjustment on the neutral switch up under the windshield or it's linkage.. hydraulic clutch.
