Hi all. Having a few issues lately. The one that has me kinda puzzled is, today it wouldn't shut off. Ok its a 93 f350 with a 95 powerstroke. manual. 97 PCM. No codes, I did get it to turn off when I turned the key to the start position then to the off position, then it shut off. This is a New one for me....
Other issues im having:
1. for the past year, when parked for a couple days or more, upon starting it, it fires up as it should, then stalls out. Then usually a bit of cranking it fires up and runs good. Lately its been doing this only when parked over night.. I have replaced fuel filter and cleaned screen, didn't make any difference. Im kinda thinkin its the lift pump is weak....?? I will hook up a pressure guage and see what the pressure is when parked over night.
2. The other day and again today it just died on me. Both times when it was cold in the morning. Starts as "Normal"haha and after driving for 1/4 mile starts to loose power, like the injectors are cutting out. Both times I was able to restart after lots of cranking and get her home.. Seems to run fine when warmed up..
I guess im looking for somewhere to start. Im thinkin about pulling valve covers and checking out the wiring plugs. Testing fuel pressure. I do have a spare ICM I could plug in and run for a bit...???
Any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks in advance
