I live in Phoenix and I just purchased the Diesel Kleen in the grey bottle at Wal Mart. It does not have anti-gelling properties.
I guess the white bottle of Diesel Kleen prevents gelling.

Great...Phoenix has all the good stuff. We are way behind the times here in Tucson. Now I have 2 good reasons to drive to Phoenix. IN-N-OUT Burger & Diesel Kleen, would be 3 reasons on the list but we finally got a couple of Krispy Kremes down here.
I guess I should check out a few other Wal-Marts before I give up.
Thanks for the info.
Check Desert Diesels over on Grant and Fairview. I've seen it for sale there but never used it myself.
The Krispy Creme(s) is quite the phenomenon here in Tucson. On Davis-Monthan AFB they seem to be in every office on base. So much for the new physical fitness standards!
Thanks Jlower,
I'll be sure to stop in and give it a try. For now, I have a bottle of the Rotella stuff....I'll compare the results between that and the Diesel Kleen. I'll be taking a long drive to Albuquerque this weekend (to see the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta), so I'll get to run through a few tanks of fuel along the way.
Scratch that last comment on Desert Diesels. I stoped in today to pick up a new Pyro gauge and some Stanadyne. They no longer carry either Diesel Kleen product. They received a wrong shipment from their supply warehouse about 6 months back and just decided to see if it would sell. I do however recommend the Stanadyne !
Yea I use the Diesel Kleen grey bottle every tank except from Oct. on then I change to the white bottle. It really will give you bette gas mileage, mine is already 20 mpg because of the mileage, but anyway yes Wal-Mart sells it for 10.74 a bottle.

I'd rather be stroked, then rammed!
What mixture ratio is everyone using? Should I follow the exact label directions or push a little more than called for? Can't help that itch to give it 'a little mo juice' to make it go faster.... My guess is that too much will not help and could possibly hurt the engine - is this true?
"A little more" probably won't hurt anything but your wallet, but probably is not going to help much either.
Good, fresh, high quality fuel probably does not benefit to any great degree from any of these additives, so I do not know what you could expect to get by adding extra additive.
I've got a 44 gallon fuel tank in my 01' Excursion PSD. I am using only half the Diesel Kleen bottle at a time. The bottle instructions say that 1 bottle is good for 100 gal of fuel so by using half for 44 gal, I guess that is giving it a little bit extra juice.
I've had great results with this product. Great improvement in throttle response and about 2 miles per gal improvement in fuel mileage.
I see a gain of 2-3 miles per gal, depending upon city or open road driving. So, using 1/2 bottle, 2mpg X 44=88 additional miles per tank. 88/16mpg =5.5 gals. 5.5gals x $1.39= $7.65 worth of fuel. Good savings and better performance that I haven't seen from other additives. Remember, the whole bottle costs $3.97
jschira, Is definantly correct on this one. I make it a point to hit one of the big truck stops along the interstate to get the freshest diesel. I get 11-12 GPH from the inner city stores, while 15-16 using the Flying Js along the inerstate. Then when I add the cetane booster I get closer to 17-18GPH. Make sure to ask if thier diesel pumps pull from the same tank as the big rig pumps. If they don't go over to the big rig stalls to fill up. The fresher the diesel the better off you are.
I have run everything from the Diesel Kleen, Lucas, Stanadyne, and even some off the wall brands from Advance Auto parts. Really only seen the improved accelration from the Diesel Kleen and Stanadyne. Now I drive everyday to work 103 miles X 2 = 206 miles minimum everyday on my PS so the additive really seems to be seen on the days I am adimint about putting it in. Diesel Kleen is cheaper and easily available here so I have been running it for @ a year now. On average I will get 2 miles more per gallon running 75 and below on the interstate with the cleaner than not. P.S> It really does stink in your toolbox
