Clicking noise in front end

Hi guys. Sorry but I just joined today ! And it doesn’t help that I’m a tech tard. I’ve got a 2004 excursion with the 5.4 in it,4x4. I’m getting a clicking noise in the front driver side at lower speeds. Haven’t noticed any changes in driving, just the noise but I know it isn’t gonna fix itself so I’d like to get ahead of it. Any quess as to what this might be or has anyone had similar case. Would love some input, seems like a lot of very knowledgeable folks on here and I’d appreciate any insight you might have! Thanks guys. Also, might help to say I have a 5” lift w/35s on it and steering stabilizer, both are rough country but I don’t think it’s caused by these, sound is more of an internal clicking and not all the time. Thanks again for any help! XXXXXX ON!

Oh ya, My guess on your Ex click.

front brake glide pin.
hub locked and ujoint toast.
ubolts loose
unit bearing about to fail.
Shock bushing
loose wheel stud

If the click is more of a tick then then I guess exhaust leak
if the click is more of a creak then I guess body mount or sway bar bushing.

hmmm could be you just hear my wife.

give us more info as to when it happens or any variations to the frequency and I bet we can guess more accurately

Are your ESOF hubs locked or set to Auto?
Or you can’t tell ‘cause the paint is gone or you’re not sure what the heck ESOF is?
Not sure how well you know your Excursion (wasn’t that long ago when I was in that boat).

Does it change with speed? Does it change when you turn left or right and load/unload that corner?

Is this noise intermittent at low speeds, going over a speed bump etc.? This could be your end links and/or bushings.

All of these are great, but have you checked your tire tread for rocks?

Good point. I automatically deferred to a larger issue instead of checking the small stuff first.

In that vein there might also be a nail or screw in the tread block too making the click. Had that happen a few times.

That said, I had someone tell me once that it sounded like I had a nail in my tire, and it turned out to be the bearing hub.

Win some, lose some.

I've lost more of those than I've won.
