5.8 build

My grandson was seriously injured in a pedestrian vechile accident in January. He was bed fast for nearly 3 months. When he could get up and run around in a power cart. We started an engine build for his 1981 f-150 4wd 4 speed. Started with a 1990 f-250 351w engine. Tore it down and basically used nothing but the block crank and rods. Had the block vatted and bored 30 over and new cam bearing installed. The crank turned 10/10 obtained a set of GT40P heads had them cleaned and valve seats cut. Added Manley stainless valves. Alex valve spring kit. Used a Ford E303 cam. Lunati roller lifters. Speed pro pistons. Sourced a set of Ford racing roller rockers. And a pair of Ford racing stainless steel header for the GT40P heads. This was a therapy build for my grandson. He missed his last semester of his senior year. He did graduate. But was pretty depressed. So we did this build.with my guidance he did most of the work from a power chair. With It runs very strong and sounds really good. Here are some pics of the build.
