I'm needing one bulb but after tonite they are now both bunt . haha
Are the yellow fog bulbs anything better ?
I see mine are 9006 and they very in prices from $5 a pair to $22 each for super star .
Wallmsrt has a pair of yellow 55 watt for 5 bucks free shipping might get two sets .
What do you all think of the yellow , blues , whites for fog bulbs ?

 

In my opinion the factory running lights don't make good Fog lights due to the lens design and projection they produce.
Be a where they are switched off when the head lights are on hi beams.
Equip them with bulbs very high power in wattage and they can blind oncoming traffic and possibly melt the lenses.
The lights are not meant to light up the rest of the world so to speak.

Leave colored lights for Euro trash and and Ricers as that's the only appropriate place for that cheap look.

I put them in this summer, no fog yet to test them. I'll let you know when it happens...

 

I do know they work well in forest fire smoke... That's for sure.

 

I believe yellow is better for fog because white reflects more then yellow .

Amber "fog" lamps are very beneficial to me at night when it's raining. Thing is, the yellow bulbs are no where near amber lens lamps. I've tried them and they're obviously for looks. In that respect Mr. Hog is correct.

My vision changed back in the late 80's from lack of face shielding during process welding. You get the most usable light in the 4300-5000k spectrum anywhere outside of that is wasted.
