6x8, not 5x7 like the pro audio installers tell you. The aftermarket 5x7s have and offset mouniting ring to accomodate the 6x8 screws, but the they won't seal as well so you'll lose some low frequency sounds. I used 6 1/2s in my van and regreted it. So I would either enlarg the holes to 6x9 or look for 6x8s.
As the above post indicate, there is some discrepancy "out there". Crutchfield shows a 6x8 for rear speakers for my 96 F-150, and I am inclined to believe it. However, I was recently at a Circuit City and look at their manual and it stated, quite clearly, 5x7s for my vehicle. I havent replace the speakers yet, so I dont know who is right.
The 5x7 have WIDE mounting holes so they can be mounted in the 6x8 openings. take a tape measure and measure the openings, they are like 5.7x7.6 so the 6x8 fit right. The 5x7 is the foreign speaker size for nissan, some toyotas and others. But I have done the research and come to the conclusion that they are 6x8.
