I think the uncertainty comes from whether these parts were actually installed on the assembly line or, if they were only service replacement parts. It seems no one has provided definitive proof one way or the other on that.
Regardless, for me, if I'm going to go to the trouble of replacing kingpins and bushings, I would install bronze bushings that would outlast the nylon bushings by a factor of several times over.

3X. As far as I know, Ford always installed bronze bushings in the factory. Ford built their trucks to be work horses. And last a long time doing it. As replacements, they offered them both ways. With bronze for those who can ream them, and nylon bushings for those who can't or don't want to.
All I know is that my old 67 which appeared to be original and untouched had the nylon ones. It had decades of crud on the spindles etc that told me it had never been apart. Think about how more efficient it is for the factory to snap in nylon bushings as opposed to bronze bushings and reaming them to fit. I would think Fomoco would indicate on the box the fact that their replacement parts are not of original design, if that were the case. Just saying.
