Grille guard help

Need some help in locating where the brace bars go through the radiator core support.

This is on a two wheel drive 1966 F100.

Thanks

Vito

Vito - check out this thread at the link below. It shows the radiator support and the crude hole they cut in it and also shows the hole on the frame where one of the supports was attached and ND has also included the drawing from the MPC, too. It's about the best thread that I've seen on the factory grille guard mounting supports.

OK, that "crude" hole looks like it is some rubber seal which may just be somewhat torn in that one picture, too. Here's the two pieces that attach to the core support

C5TZ-8B239-A - Grille Guard Seal
C5TZ-8B240-A - Grille Guard Brace Seal Retainer

I couldn't find any of those parts available NOS.

I hope that helps some.

Vito, it sounds like you have the grille guard and parts and you're ready to start cutting. When i sold mine, complete with the seals, retainers and everything else, I included a paper template indicating the hole sizes and locations, made when the rad support was out. I think you're going to need to get precise measurements from an assembled truck with the guard. There might be someone here who can do this for you. IIRC the buyer of mine cut the holes from the back side and installed all the pieces without removing the grille. Way easier if the rad support is out though.
