Hey guys and Gals. I'm Doug, a long time Ford truck fanatic, Started out with '67 F250 Camper special with a 352 and a manual 4 speed when I first started driving many years ago, Then had a '84 F250 with a 302 and a c6 I think it was a c6... and about 6 months ago picked myself up a '93 F150 4.9L XL with an E4OD. Been lurking the forums and reading all I can about the engine/tranny combo.
I am the 3rd owner of the truck, It was bought brand new by a construction company here in town in 93 and was purchased by a co worker of mine in 2010 and he put less than 12K on it the 8 yrs he had it. Clock is sitting on 143K , everything I have replaced on it has been original parts (aside from the ones that get changed out regularly) and gets replaced with FoMoCo parts if I can help it. This truck replaced my beloved '86 C10 that I reluctantly parked until I get a chance to fix it or decide to sell it.
Hopefully I will be able to learn more as well as contribute here as I thoroughly enjoy keeping old trucks running. I got my 93 lined out engine and tranny wise,replaced the ECM as it was shot when I bought it and in the next couple days will have the whole brake system gone through and operating 100%.

Thanks! Got the brake system finished up today and she is stopping on a dime now (for a truck) . Had a vexing problem with it and finally eradicated it.
