I just acquired a 1999 f250 with the 5.4 that has had the interior torn apart and I'm not sure what else. I know the truck is missing the whole air filter assembly and I was wondering what other years might fit or if one from a F150 would fit?
I can't answer your question for certain... however, when I was searching for a cold air intake for my truck I found out that apparently the 99 f250 with a 5.4 is a breed of its own as far as intake goes. I ordered one and went to install it... WRONG. the only ones I could find apparently had a throttle body that pointed straight forward . Ours point towards the driver's headlight. I'm assuming you need an intake for a 99 superduty with a 5.4 and nothing else will do. I ended up just putting a drop in k&n in mine. I'm sure the correct intake is out there. However with the age of our trucks, they sure aren't common. Happy hunting
My 02 comes out of the center of the motor towards the drivers side headlight at a 45 degree angle, then 45s again so the entrance comes out straight just to the left of the drivers headlight
