Good evening Nick and how are thing out west? We are still trying to dry out and waiting on Flo to hit the coast and see where she is headed.
Hay DarkSide how did the bolt thing work out. Hope they came lose after heating things up.
Good Thirsty Thursday Evening Nick, DarkSide and all of Utah. Tomorrow is Friday and time for the weekend. I work all weekend (payback for taking 10 days vacation. But after the Honey Do List completion I needed a rest and work is a great place to get it. LOL
I was doing fine till tonight when I got the F250 stuck in the hill to the barn with a load of hay. Still stuck there until morning and get a friend to help get the rear diff lifted off the rock it is setting on. Right rear tire is off the ground and the hill is too wet to go on up.
Oh well I guess now I have a reason to actually get out and bust the rock up.
It in one sense is a very large rock and part of a seam that runs through the area. But only about a half ton is sticking out of the ground. It doesn't help the road is rutted out on one side either. get my buddy up here and I think I have an easy quick plan.
Wow. That rock must be demolished! Haha. Same thing happened to me a few months back helping someone move. Luckily lots of other trucks with me to get me off of the rock.
Well I got the truck moved to the side of the house. Did not have enough time to play with the bolts. Will have to give it a try next weekend. Had about 2.5 inches on each side from mirror to fence post.
Nice parking job! If they are not too hard to get to go out and spray them with penetrant every day until you can get to them. May help loosen them a bit.
Thanks. I will admit it took a few times to get it lined up. The good thing is as soon as it clears the posts it opens up. Gives me a nice secluded location to work on it now.
It's always a surprise when I get to drive it of how powerful that engine is. I would switch from reverse to drive let off the break and move 3 feet before I could push the break back down. My newer vehicles I let off the break and I'm lucky if I move at all on a hill. Lol
Another thing I like about my truck. I was able to park it 2 inches from the fence on the drives side, then I just slid across the seat and got out on the other side. This would never happen in my other vehicles without a rope and a winch. Lol
