Throttle Sticking
I have A 92 F150 and When the weather gets cold, my accelerator starts sticking. Not only is it stiff to start out with, so that you have to push hard to get it to start out, but it will also stick when i'm driving. I let off of the gas and it just keeps on pulling. I replaced the Throttle position sensor, Cleaned and lubed the throttle body, linkages, etc. and even brought it to the dealer service dept. They had it for 2 weeks and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Has anyone else had this problem, and if anyone has found the solution PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

P.s. The only way i can get it unstuck is to shift into Neutral. It will rev up real high and then come back down to normal Idle

i think it has to do with the plastic on the linkage, mine has done the same thing, i think what happens is since it is cold it wants to stick more, also i had to use zipties to mke my linkage stay in the proper position in relation the the throttle body assembly...

My 87 did the same thing. I cleaned and lubed the linkage REALLY REALLY WELL! and it quit. (that was in MN, so it was cold related, too). Start with brake kleen at the pedal, and work your way to the TB. Also spray the TB, and the IAC motor. Then go back and lube lightly. Cheers
