source for oem nuts and bolts

Does anyone know where I can find nuts and bolts for my 91 f150? First order of business is replacing 4 missing bell housing bolts! Plus a couple of extension housing bolts...oh and some trim screws for the interior...

Wait! You are missing 4 out of the 6 bell housing bolts?

I would say either dealer or junk yard for OEM bolts

Metric Hydraulic Fittings, Adapters & Components | British Metrics for the odd sae/metric bolts they used back then.

I assumed there were a couple on the top of the housing that I couldn't see. Truck is parked until I figure this one out. Does anyone know of a site that has the kind of details about these bolts that I would need in order to specify when ordering online? I can pull one and take it to the parts store but these days it's hard to find someone working at a parts store that has any experience with this vintage truck.

Phil...have you bought sae stuff from them? I'm looking on their website and it seems to be strictly metric.

20 seconds. Not OEM but Ford doesn't make bolts. They just buy them.

Yes... They are about 25 minutes from me. They had bolts for my shocks. Which were mixed sae/ metric as I recall. Something Ford was doing when they thought we were going metric. I have an 89

Pretty much any decent hardware store will have what you need. FYI, the rehousing bolts are 7/16 coarse

wow...lots of great resources ...thanks!

About the bell housing bolts...I mis-spoke. It's the adaptor between the m5od extension tail housing and the transfer case (still haven't checked on which one) input side. Not sure yet how many are missing exactly.

There's some kind of nasty leak right in there...maybe a shaft seal on the extension housing. I thought the drips were coming from the shift rail plugs that I've read are notorious for leaking. I pulled the tranny cover (after cleaning lots of crap off the top) and they didn't seem to be in too bad shape...they were mostly tight. I took them out, cleaned thoroughly, and reinstalled with some black rtv. When I had the cover off I could see the fluid level in the tranny case was pretty low. Took 2 qts to bring it to full. After I buttoned it all back up I took the truck out for a short test drive...maybe 1/2 mile. When I got back I and parked I could see a stream of tranny fluid coming out somewhere around the tail housing but it stopped running before I could a light and get a good look.

I put about 100 miles on the truck since I bought it last month. If the tranny fluid had been leaking so badly the whole time it would have died in the first 10 minutes. I suspect that there is a major seal rupture somewhere nearer to the top of the shaft seal...it didn't start leaking until I drove it. That might explain why it leaks heavily when full but not when 1/2 full.

Seems like the only way to be sure is to pull the transfer case and inspect everything upstream from there.
