Hi there. I'm sure this question is asked here all the time so I'll apologize in advance If it irritates anyone. I'm looking for a used truck and only want to spend around $5,000. Are there decent tucks out there for that price or will they mostly be junkers?
My daughter got a pretty nice Chebby for 5K a year or so ago. That being said, it needed tires fairly soon and the brake lines were failing ( nasty little GM problem that they had for a while. ).
She's a lot smarter car buyer than I am. She gets a posse together and they really look them over. Her son is a mechanic ( fairly new), so he checks for obvious issues. They also spend a lot of time checking Kelly Blue Book and quizzing the seller.
