So my first SD was a 17 F250 KR. Then in January I traded that in on a 18 F250 Platinum. I instantly felt like the truck didn't have as much power as the KR. I chalked it up to maybe a difference in the flash on the ECU. Who knows. Over a month ago I went to a 18 F350 DRW Limited. Immediately I noticed the A/C wasn't as cold and the brakes are super hard. Took it back the next day after purchase and the mechanic at the dealership said everything was fine. I can live with the A/C not freezing me out but the brakes I can't deal with. Its almost like you have to stand on them with body weight. I'm not as mechanically in tune as I once was but it feels like one of my first cars I owned when the booster went out and the brakes had no assist. Thoughts? Should there be a braking difference between a SRW and DRW? I would think not.
Hyrdoboost verus vacuum assisted brakes. There is a difference. The hydroboost brakes "should" feel stronger. Not sure if it would make a difference in pedal "feel".
The only time mine has ever felt hard is when I selected "high effort" in the towing set up. Went back to low and it was fine. It never felt as effortless as the Lincoln, but not remarkably resistant, either.
