Well we picked up about 50 new ATMS scattered all through the state from a competitor- Used to have maybe 1 call for the whole 2 weeks of being on call- Now i get roughly 3 a day-- I mean I am glad I have a job I like- but now on call is 8 to 8 every day - I just miss the slow time. :-( -- Its only once every 6 weeks (soon to be every 8 weeks) its just blah
SO - how do I get my guys to do on call? a call came in at 6:15 customer contract ends at 8 and when I questioned the tech he said I'll do it in the morning. :-(
I think the response is "Joe, when a call comes in at 6:15, you need to go as our contract doesn't end until 8:00 pm. That is part of your job, so next time go."
oh.. are we talking about me??? LOL!!! there was a hole lot of one times that there were calls and I didn't go. but generally I already had 80 hours in for that week, and was just plumb worn out..
No i was referring to the comment that was made as soon as I mentioned it-- Of course the calls I didn't go to came in later in the night then that- but it was a valid argument.
There are a few differences in when I didn't go- My calls came in at 7:30-7:45- so I would not make it to the site before contract end-- His calls came in at 6:30 and were 15 min from his house.
HA HA HA-- No smarter then that :-) Although I did have a tech take a call that came in at 4:15 Friday-- and he is scheduled off for vacation all next week (so technically he started vacation at 5:00 on Friday---) We worked until 6:00 and went home.
