Nice!
My neighbor tells me there is a job opening going to be posted at Jeffrey Energy Center, and that he likes his job, so maybe I should put my resume in.
The good, the bad;
6 months of substantially lower pay, but then bumped up to pay higher than what I currently get.
There are no such things as holidays, but nearly unlimited overtime, so I can make as much as I want , limited up to 16 hours a day
Indoor and outdoor work, all times of the year.
Three shifts, which rotate, so not much chance of working normal hours. Sleeping during the day, would be difficult and working all night.
My neighbor says he makes about 44 dollars per hour, and sometimes double time. (he's been there 4 years)
2 weeks vacation (Max)
I like the possibility to make more money, but dislike being away from the family so much.

only 2 more days of oncall- tonight and tomorrow! i have had 100% rate of calls "afterhours" at least 1 - but up to 4 calls every day since Dec 20th :-( will be glad not that the hlidays are over-- Bank people get so bent out of shape because an ATM is down over the holidays-- even if it is there fault -- And you gotta love the guy who at 10:00 at night wanted me to drive 2 hours to fix his atm-- that was out of money in a cassette-- or the bank manager who had me drive 2.5 hours 1 way-- but she couldn't meet me there because it was Christmas and she wanted to spend time with her family.

I can relate.. Hoxie's ATM lost its des keys on NYE, they were having an ice storm. 29 degrees out and light rain which was to last all day. They wanted to have it fixed immediately. Thinking he may be close to that area, I called Randy to see what his schedule was like, he was buried, and he said, "Maybe see you Wednesday?" I told him we would see what we could do. Diebold was closed for the holiday, so I offered to drive out to fix it. With the weather, it could have been an 8-10 hours drive plus repair time. I called the branch and pleaded with them to work with me over the phone to try to fix it. After a few hours on the phone, we got it fixed. I was glad I could save someone, including me, a trip out there for something that is so easy, but really hard to explain, to someone that needs to see something in "Black and White"

On my heater in my atm went down on 12/31-- but when we tried to turn it on today it wouldn't come up-- Immediate service at 17:03 today :-( :-( In Iola :-( :-( Same manager that said she was too busy celebrating Christmas with her family to meet me onsite Christmas day--- :-( So guess what- I am ordering a part (heater) for ATM and will go there when it comes in (in 2 days) :-) Petty revenge is still satifying
