Sorry for the long post in advance. So I'm new to posting on forums in general but have been thru 100s on here for all my problem solving. So I've had this truck for a year now which it's an 01 f350 lariat 4x4 with the 7.3l and all's been good since I picked the truck up except for gpr dying and valve cover gasket burning up witch have been replaced and since then running good. However this last incident has put my truck in the driveway since February and I'm lost where to go next. I do plan on getting a Bluetooth obd2 reader as of right now I cannot afford the ae scanner or a laptop. The reason for the truck being down is last feb. I was at a gas station and was re fueling it at their diesel pump and Lord behold their pump didn't have diesel in it. I couldn't pay a lawyer so I'm stuck fixing my truck on my own. I have since then replaced fuel filter drained the heads, lines, and tank to the accord of 25 gallons of gas...... have hutch modded the tank while I was in there and put a new pick up tube on as the old one was no longer existent. changed the ipr to a know good one as well as cps I get a wts light all fuses are good get tac movement but no matter what my water in fuel light intermittently goes on and off rapidly while cranking. I get small puffs of white smoke while cranking I have had small chances of it running but fought it and it only lasted till the motor got warmed up then died and would not restart till I was cold agian. Any help would be appreciated before i gotta send it to a shop.
Post up whereabouts you live. Maybe someone close can offer the obd/TP...
** All this started AFTER filling up with gas?
** Have you tried the CODY TEST?
** Inspected your connections at valve covers, 42 pin connect and upr icp area connections?
**verified fuelbowl filling up?
@Timmy yes this basically happens after fully and I say basically only because there was only a 1/4 tank of good diesel till It ran the gas mix to straight gas and at the time I didn't know it was gas till roughly 60 miles later when I was headed home from work and it died and couldn't figure out why see in it had a full tank. No I have not did the cost test.
First, you need to proof read your posts, talking into the microphone rarely works and makes it hard to follow your posts.
So, were the IPR & CPS both OEM sensors? Our trucks do NOT like aftermarket sensors from auto parts stores. If you drained the fuel lines, tank and have good fuel pressure then it sounds as though you just need to get the truck running it’s probably going to be short spurts in the beginning. Once all the gas it out of the engine it should clear up on its own…assuming no damage was done. I’d plug it in, this will help it start easier, also put a charger on the batteries during this cranking session. Short cranking sessions to prevent damaging your starter. Good luck!

Yes the the ipr was an original oem that I was able to track down on eBay. And the cps however is the 'grey' one i did find it at my local oriellys store and believe its to be an oem replacment.
Update: so I've had the icp unplugged to use the defaulted parameter and was gonna check the condition of my exhaust back pressure sensor because it's believed to have around 220,000 miles and I forgot to hook it back up now the truck dang near fires up every time. What could that possibly mean? I tried with the icp plugged in and it cranks with one to two sputters but does not catch and fire up like when it's unplugged. And while both are unplugged and it fires up there's a big billowing cloud of white smoke.

‘Is there oil in the plug of the ICP? If yes, replace it with a Motorcraft. Go to Riffraff Diesel. Clay will take care if you.
The only OEM replacement is an actual Motorcraft (OEM) sensor regardless what sensor you replace. All parts stores will sell the sensors for our truck but unless they say Motorcraft on them, you’re putting a ticking time bomb in your truck. When I first bought my truck, I put a NAPA CPS in my truck, it lasted almost 20 minutes.
Ok so I also noticed that while my ebp is unplugged my wif light stays off. That's thrown me for a loop so I tried it with the ebp plugged in and the wif light comes back on
Ive ran the epb sensored hooked to tube, ran truck with epb sensor capped off with npt cap and tube capped as well..no difference..if tube is cracked, you can plug the hole at manifold....OR, just buy new sensor/tube if needed...
So I got the truck running but only when the epb and icp is unplugged and of corse its got air in the lines so I'm fighting it out. It has no idle at all hick ups and falls on its face and dies
