A former Coworker turned good friend and now an MD (and still good friend) had a couple high dollar dogs. At some point while giving him a hard time about one of them, I called them "Matter Exchange Artists"!
He asked "What do you mean"?
I responded; A dog turns good money into dog S!
He asked "how"?
Me; You get a dog and pay good money for dog food. Then to dog goes out and does it's business in the yard. That is fertilizing the lawn. That means you have to mow the grass more often. Because of that you ware out the lawnmower faster because of more frequent cuttings which also requires more fuel. So you are changing good money into dog Poo! Hence matter exchangers.
He was pretty much speechless!
