My house is on a hill so that isnt too much of a concern. But the street is lower then my house. And that can flood if we get too much rain at one time. The other side floods even worse.
Same here Bud and Shaun, Live on high ground and the roads can flood. Hope Florence wets her pants at sea and not on land. We have had 3 inches in the last 24 hours.
II live near sea level Rod. My street is only a few feet above sea level. My house is higher then that,. The other side of my street is level with the street so they flood first.
Not as much as one would think John. There are a few areas near my house that are lower then my street that always flood. There is a height sign on the side of the road that is measured in feet. there have been several times that sign is under at least 6 feet of water and the sign is 5 feet high.
Yeah we have enough to last awhile. And I have plenty of charcoal on hand as well. My charcoal bin has about 68 lbs of charcoal in it right now and I have another 34 lb bag waiting to refill it.
Sounds good. We have about 3 years of food stored and we used propane and it is about 2.5 years supply. Water is not a problem, we use a settling and filter system and then use a second charcoal filtering system for drinking and cooking. Where we live out we figured we needed to be self reliant for extended periods. We would be and have been some of the last to be serviced in a disaster.
Morning world ... when I woke up this AM I was wondering why I woke up so early....well, between all the rain clouds and the calendar. I guess it's about fall ! It was still pretty dark at 7AM in MY back yard !
Yes John, one of these:
That's pretty nice Bud, does it handle well behind the truck..?
