My 2010 5.4l f-150 has poor acceleration. I decided to clean the Throttle body and noticed the stock airbox just sat on throttle body kinda loose, I didn’t have to pry it off or undo any hose clamp. Is that normal or is it missing a gasket or hose clamp? If it’s not getting a tight seal and sucking in excess air post the MAF it could be the reason for the poor acceleration. Any body know if that’s how it normally attaches to the throttle body?
Update, installed a hose clamp and truck runs great now! Not sure if it was missing or never had one but it wasn’t getting airtight seal and it made my truck run like crap!
