I had a diesel mechanic friend scan the truck and he pulled some codes I wrote them down. cant find them now. He said replace the cam sensor , and I had to buy harness for it , somebody had done a crappy wire job. Did that, didn't fix problem so then I he said go into wire harnesses under valve covers replace those and I did the valve gaskets also. Though problem was fixed now, my truck is suddenly idling weird . The original problem was it wanted to just stall out randomly before. Now it idles weird . Please help 8 was going to take kids camping tomorrow because I thought truck was fixed but its not I haven't taken family camping in 6 years.

I just installed the harness so I clipped them all in.
What do you mean by weird? Is it rough? Does the engine shake more now? Is the Service Engine Soon light on?
Happened to me not long ago and those were the symptoms. Turns out one of the harness plugs fell out of the injector solenoid. Plugged it back in and all was well.

Did it make a difference with the ICP unplugged? The PCM will default to a non-aggressive table of ICP values. It should run fine (not rough) but feel like a dog. The ICP is definitely done with oil in the plug. I ran with mine unplugged for a couple of days while I had an ICP on order for that very thing. It ran like somebody deactivated the turbo.
It's a bit of a time-consuming task but I would check the injector connector plugs. If one isn't the noticeable culprit I would unplug each one, reseat it, then make sure the clip is secure.
Just my .02

I double checked that all the plugs were in correct before closing up valve covers
I will try the icp unplugging it, now the idle is ok when I drive it 30 miles. I will go outside and check unplugging icp but if there's no rough idle to start with what will unplugging it do?? Why would a little oil coming out of it, Create this intermitant problem?? I will be right back. I will unplug in a few minutes.

The ICP diaphragm is damaged and leaking (at some pressure based on throttle) into the connector, pressurizing it, and soaking it in oil.
