I have a 2016 Ford F150 5 1/2 foot bed with a drop in bedliner. I'm trying to find a rubber mat that will fit with my bedliner. The plastic bedliner tends to be a bit slippery when it's wet. I'm finding that I can purchase one for a 5 1/2 foot bed, but I have to modify it. I don't really want to buy one, just to alter it. Any input?
What about selling the drop-in liner and putting that money plus the money you were going to spend on the rubber mat towards a spray-in liner?
If that's not workable, what about buying the bucket of bed liner and just painting it on the tops of the ridges of your current drop-in liner? That would give some traction.
I like my bed liner. I just need something over it to keep stuff from sliding. Plus, I also like the flat surface a mat gives. I sound difficult, don't I? hahahahaha
You could buy a Sportside or Flareside mat and simply trim it to length. Mats designed to fit a certain truck bed are designed to fit that bed without a liner. Used with a liner they won't fit exactly correctly anywhere. When I sold truck accessories and someone wanted a mat in their liner we sold them one of the mats I mentioned.
The stall mat seems like a good way to go as long as it's reasonably heavy. Flying rubber mats can **** people off.
