Strobe lights?

So I’m curious who all has done strobes/safety lights on their trucks?

we are in the lawn care business and I want to put some on the front/back/sides of the truck and I’ll also be putting some on my trailer.

I have come across some good examples but I want to see what any of you have done.

I went pretty basic with mine, it’s just a 16” whelen led bar. For lawn care I only use it at 3 accounts and that’s due to it being a 55 mph road.

I used to run Whelen TIR3 lights. Mounted them to the back and side of my tool box. They are super bright and pull next to no juice.

that is the one I was looking at! I want it to be clean and not that noticeable when not on as we will also use this truck outside of our business.

I'm in same boat as you. My truck is both business and personal use vehicle. At the moment I have an Acari platform that mounts to the 3rd brake light with flasher mounted on it. Would love to switch to an in grill/flasher somewhere behind vehicle lights, ideally in the 3rd brake light like is part of the factory warning light system option that's out there.

No it’s an ebling. The boss has a lot of similar features to the ebling but the ebling has been around for 20+ years. I will say boss will have a better dealer support system since it’s already in place. Ebling is getting into plow dealers every year but they are still few and far between. Luckily for me I live 3 mins from the manufacturer.

Yea I get where your coming from. My truck is mostly business, occasionally we take it somewhere but even that is mostly camping.

I've done quite a lot of lighting on vehicles, including a large upfit on my own '17 SD. I have a build thread covering most of it linked in my signature, but I can provide a good amount of info on products/installation. Feel free to DM me. Name: photo876.jpg

I'd definitely recommend getting some advice from NorEaster MA. I have a much less complex setup than he does, but he really helped me get set up with what I wanted. I ended up going with a set of four identical, discreet amber LED strobes from Strobes 'N More in Rhode Island. Fronts are concealed in the grille and rears are mounted flush on my headache rack. They are wired separately to the upfitter switches in the ceiling of the truck.

Looks similar to the boss. Wonder if they took the ebling idea's. My boss dealer said he hasn't had any interest at all because of the cost. I have 2 boss snowplows and love them. A 7'6 for my residential route and a 9'2 v-poly for my new SD gasser which I will use for my commercial route. It better freekin snow in Chicago this winter :-0 lol

They are similar to ebling in a lot of ways. I haven’t look at the boss in person to comment on it, my boss dealer gave me a price of $5000ish on a 16’, ebling is $7000 for a 16’. They are worth the cost though, I doubled my route for one pickup truck and paid for it in one season. Hopefully it snows for you, I’m getting out of the game this season so I’ll be sleeping good and drinking coffee watching it snow from my living room.

I've been looking for the same reason as well, and I keep going back to just getting an acari mount and using my sound off mini led amber on the roof. Every strobe option I've found is either quite invasive or quite expensive by the time you buy all new bulbs plus the module(s).
