transfer case compatibility, 1356?
I have a 1994 F350, 5.8L, C6 with a manual shift transfer BW1356 case. Will a manual shift BW 1356 transfer case from a 1988 F250, 7.5L, ZF5 be an exact swap? Does the 1988 transfer case shift the same into low as my 1994? If not, should I swap any parts from the 1994 TC onto the 1988 TC?

The older 1356 should bolt right up. All ford transfer cases through 96 are interchangeable with little work. My 96 351 c6 f350 came with the bw4407, which is quite a bit bigger, but would swap right in.
the only difference I can think of would be the 88 having a speedometer sensor in the transfer case. Since you have a vss in the rear axle, your good.
