Tailgate Question

Does anybody know, without regard to what is "correct" or not, what year tailgates will actually fit a 65 F250 styleside.

Maybe look at online tailgate vendors and see if they have a matching system. Might not for something that old, of course.

64-72 will physically fit inclusive 4x2 and 4x4 except 65 4x4 and 66 F250 4x4 which used the wrong box. 65-66 F350 are wrong boxes also and I do not know if 67-72 F350 had any differences. Most aftermarket gates such as LMC are the 67-72 variety.

C4TZ-9940700-A Styleside Tailgate is the same: 1964/66 F100/250 2WD; 1966 F100 4WD

C7TZ-9940700-A 1967/72 F100/350 is similar, uses the same mounting hardware, but it looks slightly different.

September 1966: Ford obsoleted the C4TZ tailgate, replaced it with the C7TZ tailgate for use as a "service part replacement."

1964/66 has large FORD block letters. 1967/72 has smaller FORD letters w/a different font that are surrounded by a raised ovate scallop line.
