What do you guys with the Big lifts (8 inches, or more)
Do for a spare tire???
I drive a F250 S/D C/C with an 8 inch lift, and 38 inch tires.
and no spare
I don't want to up up the bed though. I some times put a lot of crap in it
You don't have many options if you don't want it in the bed. I seriously doubt there is any room underneth. You could fab a way to mount it on the roof.. but then you have a lot of clearance issues. What about standing it up in the bed? Up against your toolbox or cab? That would still leave a lot of room.
I don't even ahve a spare, but I'm getting one (35" tires). I'll just put it in the bed when I go on long trips. Most of the time I'm just going to work or school which is no more than 25 minutes away.
The roof rack is still the best place if you don't have clearence issues (garages, drive-thrus) but it is a bear to get that heavy piece of rubber down on a rainy day.
Makes waxing the roof a bit challenging too.

Get one of the spare tire carriers off a bronco. I was checking one out the other day and it looked like it would work no problem. As for me i have 36s with a 31 inch spare in the bed in case of a huge emergency.
I have 38/15.5/16.5 Super Swampers TSL radials on my truck. I have a 38/12.5/16.5 Super Swamper TSL as a spare that I tie with a chain to the factory hoops on the bed. I have a fiber glass cover that I lock, since I dont carry nothing big.

Another option you have, might be more costly, is to buy a spare tire rack for the bed.. i saw a link oin here, that sets it up at the angle, but can be removed for those times you haul loads. Pretty nice setup. You can also put a 35" spare underneath, then if you have a flat in the back put the 35 in the front, and move the front tire to the back. But that process is only nessecary if you have LS. RIght?
I run a 10.25 in the back of the Bronco so I have TWO fullsize spares in the back. It is a trade off; security of a full size spare or no spare and more cargo room. I like the spare. However, I am working on a bumper that will mount the spare outside and making the front 8 lug. One spare.
