Been looking for a replacement for my '82 F150 since the base is split all over.
As far as the engine goes they aren't worth much. We had a rebuilt one at work with a RV cam in it great motor no one wanted it for $500. Ended up taking it to the scrap yard for $150.
Ah ok. Well the aircleaners you can sell people look for OEM ones. I almost snagged one for free from work off the truck that we put the 5.0 coyote in but nope boss took it and put it on another customers truck cause it was in better shape. basically gave it to the customer for free I was like wtf.
I used an after market air cleaner so let me know if you are interested in the stock one
I will have to do some digging in my parts and illustration guide to see if its the same on an 80 as an 82. I know I looked part numbers up and theres like 3 different numbers I could use on mine.
how much would you want for the stock air cleaner?
Im holding onto mine from my '82 truck as that 351cfm 2150 carb is the same exact carb on my '78 Mercury. Instead of rebuilding that one I will take mine apart clean it up and swap it over as the truck one works the car one been sitting for a few years now.
Do you have any photographs of you old engine when it was in the truck?
You should put that air cleaner on ebay for $150...
Yep people will pay for it. I had my eye on one the part number wasn't right but NOS in box without the snorkel. Wanted $100 for it but wasn't sure if it would work right as the part number didn't match.
