had my baby broken into last thursday. those thugs took my cd player, subs and amp. I just about lost it. why do people do stuff like that. well at least I still have my baby
They steal because they Have Not , they Have Not because they have BAD KARMA. They have BAD KARMA because they take things that don't belong to them.
Have had them break into my Bronco II twice. They messed up the dash, broke the window and took new CD player, tools, lots of new tools and other stuff I got for my Honey. It happened in a department store parking lot in the mid morning and police still could not identify even with the tape the store supplied. I now have a big Bronco (just got it few days ago) and will have an alarm put in ASAP. The blinking light on the dash seems to deter better than a camera in the parking lots.
Putting an alarm on the truck - make sure the red light blinks where it can be seen- kept them from breaking in the third time. Remember, they are STUPID and part of the under class but are smart enough to stay away from alarm armed cars.

They didn't mess the dash up but the stearing wheel is tore as well as the carpet in the back. They also tore the headliner and put a dent in the door by the window channel. My whole thinking behind it is they are lazy. Im a college student that pays my own bills and lives totaly independent of anyone and if I can find a job that allows me to live this way and drive a nice vehical I don't think it should be too hard for these low lifes to do as well.
Thanks for reading I am starting to feel better, I think it's the company in this forum?!
A few years back I had my whole rig stolen! I had returned home from the hunting camp with intentions of returning the next morning. For this reason I left my trailer with 4 wheeler attached to my Bronco and went to bed. I was staying at my parents house which is in a "good" area and located towards the rear of the subdivision so break-ins are a rarity at best. Note to Dummy<-------WRONG! While I was sleeeping that evening I heard my horn sounding yet it didn't register considering I was in a slumber. Needless to say I awakened the following morning to find the entire rig gone. Bad day. On the upside, my Bronco was located that day. On the downside, the 4 wheeler was gone along with all of my hunting clothes inside the truck. To make matters worse, they were kind enough to leave all the windows down and it poured cats and dogs that evening. I guess there's something to be said for a Bronco's offroad capabilities as these guys drove the truck (with badly worn tires) and trailer down the muddiest road available until they finally sank it to the bottom of the doors. It's amazing how far they made it through that muck with bald tires and a trailer attached. On the bright side, I've still got that truck and she's still going strong. On an even brighter note, KARMA is a beeee-yoch and it will eventually sting those miserable pukes!
yeah, in the area i live in....if you have a cd player in your car, it IS going to get stolen, it's just a matter of time.
Sadly, this is hardly a "crime-ridden place" it's just a quiet rural area with minor cities. In fact...i'd say cd player theft is the number 1 crime problem
My family has had their cd players stolen about 6 times in the past 3 years. The most interesting was my brother went into work, picked up his paycheck and came back outside, 1 minute tops and there was some guy jumping out of his car with his cd deck.
One night they came by and broke into all our cars and stole the decks out of them. They even took mine, which was noticably broken. The interesting thing was that they forgot to get some piece out of my brothers truck which rendered the deck useless. So he was at a friends house the next night and they followed him and broke into it again and took it.
So i guess it's kind of an easy crime....anyone driving around blasting their system is just putting up a huge sign saying "come steal me". They do follow you around, there's no question of that. Personally i dont even bother with cd decks and all that nonsense anymore, it's just going to get stolen, and insurance never pays. You'd have to pay a $500 deductable to get a $350 cd deck.
Luckily they dont steal from the area i live in anymore cause....well the 2 kids who were responsible for it got a little greedy and decided to try out breaking into a house and stealing stuff from it.
Problem 1 was that the one kid punched the garage window out, and he cut his wrist badly on the glass. The second kid, oblivious to his friend's plight, crawled through the window into the garage. There he noticed a gun cabinet. He broke the glass on it and helped himself to a rifle.
Problem 2 was the owner of the house was home, the kids thought he was gone cause his car wasnt there, but it was just in the shop. Being an retired 30 year marine vet, he came to investigate the garage with a .357 magnum. He saw a kid holding a rifle in his garage, shot and killed him.
The second kid, still outside peering in the window, saw the man shoot and kill his "friend". He took off running. The increased heart beat from him running didnt help out his massive bleeding from the wrist, he was found dead in a nearby wooded area.
Yep, funny thing after that; theft around this neighborhood magically stopped.
The car I had before my Bronco was an old buick regal. I had a decent radio in it but no system what so ever. I'm already running late one day and when I get to the car I find the keyhole missing, it's dangling inside the door. Scan the inside and everythings still there. Whew. Go to the passenger side to get in and guess what. Same thing. Stupid thief couldn't even break into a car right.
buckeye-
you may want to look at the center consoles that tuffy has http://www.tuffyproducts.com/ I don't have one but I know a couple of people here do. They look strong and secure and some of the consoles have a place to mount your CD player under lock and key. This way you could mount the stock stereo in the stock location, I doubt anyone would want to steal that.
I don't think its really necessary to include just how I feel about criminals/vandals. You all know my story. I will offer my services, as many did for me, should the perpetrators be apprehended. Tell me when and where and I will happily provide one the the modern horses required to draw and quarter them.
They broke into my Ramcharger but I have to say that they were considerate.... They only broke the quarter window instead of the whole window, they neatly removed my amp and my subs, and pulled out the pull-out radio but I guess they didn't feel like destrying my dash, and left the radio part on the seat and the dash undisturbed!
I agree....they need to be taught ....maybe run 110 to the truck....
then when they touch it...whammm!...not enough to kill them but ..sure the heck will wake them up......just remember to shut power off before you touch it
(Disclaimer..DO NOT DO AS I SAY...Could be very bad and you may be liable for any damages)
We used to have our camper at the river lot wired that way....
it kept the local kids from raiding our camper through the week while we was not there....
