1968 Ford F250
Howdy folks, I have a 68 ford F250 that I bought and it sat for 25 years. I got it up on all fours, got it running and am wondering what it might be worth. It has a 390 Thunderbird engine in it at least that's what the valve covers say and the Autolite 4 barrel carb and the same color air cleaner. It runs with two low cylinders and it has brakes. The floor boards are rusted out. The bench seat is gone, of course. The engine has plenty of spunk even with the two low cylinders i goose it and it rocks the whole truck. I did drive it a little ways and the 4 speed seems okay. The rear axle is dry and looks good. It has two gas tanks with the manual switch over valve. The inside if the bed is pretty decent shape. It needs just a lot of tinkering, loosening and love. It's all there and everything almost works, needs lots of WD40. Clean title and is out of the CA. DMV system so no back fees of any kind. Here, in CA. i called and it'll cost $157.00 to register and tag it. I love old Ford trucks but am running out of enthusiasm and steam at 71 years old. I have 91 F150 now and that's good enough. Any feed back would be appreciated, thanks.

Price depends on which market place(location) you want to sell it in. In the "Rust Belt" around Ohio, it could sell for a bunch more than in CA. Of course the 390 w/4BBL is the more sought after engine too. The 4 speed could be a small stumbling block with so few younger drivers having 0 experience with a manual tranny. A seat cover may help with the bench seat. Advising (and showing) the customer that the floor panels are still available may help with the sale too. As far as actual price I've seen our trucks sell from $1000 up to $10,000. It depends on how bad the buyer wants it, the location, and how scarce the trucks are nearby.
