Fuel pump please help!

Is it possible to burn out a fuel pump in 2 days? I swapped out my pump with a 40 dollar topscope pump from Amazon. I drove it hard for 2 days then this morning was surging when I gave it fuel throttle, it ran fine half throttle. I floored it then it bogged down and shut off . After I towed it I unplugged the line from the filter it was full of fuel but when I cranked the engine over only a small trickle came out of the line hardly any fuel .
Is it my pump? How much fuel should I be seeing coming out of the fuel line when I crank it?

Anything is possible. It could be the pump again, but I would start looking for other causes like the fuel pump driver module.

When you turn the key ON ( not start), the fuel pump should start and run for 3 seconds. You should get a couple ounces out of the line by doing that. As mentioned, the fuel pump module tells the pump to run and controls the pressure. That is mounted to the truck frame in front of the rear axle on the drivers side. It is a small black box about 3 inches square and 1 inch thick. Should be an electric plug into it... They are known to crap out after road salt gets on the case and corrodes.

as you already know fuel cools pump don't let it get too low . But check out that fpdm . They all go bad . New ones mounted on standoffs to prevent steel to alum back plate electrolysis , once it gets a hole in it water makes it do strange things and becomes intermittent. Guess how I know .
