Caliper Piston & Pad Clip Size, 2011

I'm chasing my tail on a simple brake job.

Build date is Jan 11, but I swear I have small clips, cause the "wrong" set I brought home first time were larger.

Now I have brake wobble {rotors turned} & it looks like I have possibly ANOTHER incorrect set of pads (stock # comes back as "not for your vehicle" on their [O'reily] site )

I have the original pads for measurement, it looks like a 40mm witness mark on them.

Right now. I can only find 1 set on line that even MENTIONS that there is a "large clip" size.

Does any body have firm numbers on actual measurements or info?

I'm looking at a Power Stop Rotor & pad kit # KOE5571 , but I can't get through their help line to ask.

Don’t have an answer for you, but can you still read the part numbers on the old pads (and then google it)?

Well,

You can see an engineering ID # number:

FM 3136 CSFF

Which I surmise is "Ford/Mazda brake pad (the 2136 part) & a few revisions

Google yields an address on a Farm to Market road in Texas...

I figured this would have come up before but several different searches gives me bupkiss.

TBH I'd put that question to a Ford parts Dept.

At any rate, took receipts & box back and had a discussion with counter person @ O's.

He/we did a bunch of computer cross referencing.

Indeed I had gone home originally with "big clip" pads & the ones I eventually installed were small clip alternate part # pads, but the number was indeed good.

Can't say why they are there, since all documentation I CAN locate says that production didn't change over to small clips until 4/11.

I've got the Powerstop daily driver pad & rotor kit on order from Rock.

Hope this helps any '11 owner who has the same questions in the future.
