After rebuilding my carb I noticed there was a ton of rust flakes pouring out of the fuel filter (see below). I put a new filter on and got a clear universal one I put before the pump so I could monitor for more rust... sure enough after 15 mins of running while I adjusted the mixture screws the clear filter already had a half inch of rust flakes built up in it.(truck is running 1000x better with the carb rebuild by the way)
So a new tank is in my future.
I was thinking of getting the extra capacity, 38 gallon, fuel tank from LMC along with the new sending unit, etc. I was wondering if any of you had any experience with that one or if you had some other alternative. Not sure about LMC.
