Hi all! Sorry if this has been answered before, I've searched and not found an answer.
I've got automatic locks that will unlock but not lock. It is a problem with all doors and all switches. Could it be the relay? If so, could someone tell me where to find the relay? Thanks!
It could be the relay, or the signal wire to the relay, or the wire from the relay back to the actuators. If it also doesn't work using the remote fob, then that probably eliminates the signal/switch wire to the relay.
One thing to try (that surprisingly worked for me when my fobs stopped working but switches still worked) is to pull the fuse for the locks for a few seconds and reinsert. The only thing I can guess is that it reset the control module and the fobs started working again. It may not work for you, but it's a cheap and easy thing to try first.
Somewhat guessing as I assume the relay is in the control module, but if it helps the control module should be behind the trim panel just rearward of the driver door. (that's where it is in the 2006)
The rear door switch (If equipped) can cause the whole system to malfunction. Check the connections on it. I had no locks working, replaced that switch, and all works perfect now.
My locks won't work if the rear door switch has been used to lockor unlock the whole van. Try recycling the rear door switch then your drivers and passenger switch should work..
