gas door spring?

gas door spring?
My gas cap door seems to have lost its "spring". Is something broke, or how do I get this plastic assembly out to look?

Take out the 3 screws, go underneath and undue the clamp. Pull the whole assembly out and fix the hinge pin. Very common issue. Good YouTube videos on it.

Thanks! Had the screws out, but thought maybe the plastic housing would pop out. Went thru a car wash and it started flopping..

i had that problem and just super glued a magnet to door and inside. easy fix

Ordered a new one
Took it out. Spring pin was broken in half. Amazon for the whole housing assembly, less than $20.
